Sometimes, experiences from our past continue to affect us in ways that are difficult to understand. You may feel overwhelmed by emotions, disconnected from yourself, or find that certain memories and experiences continue to affect your relationships and sense of safety.
If you have experienced complex trauma, you may struggle with shame, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or dissociation. You may also notice conflicting feelings or different parts of yourself responding to situations in ways that feel confusing.
Compassionate and trauma-informed support is available for individuals navigating complex trauma, C-PTSD, and dissociation. My work draws on years of experience with complex trauma and training in EMDR Therapy, Ego State Therapy through Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy, and Structural Dissociation Theory.
Your story matters.
Your feelings are valid.
Compassionate support is available.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy approach that may help people process distressing experiences that continue to affect them. Treatment is individualized and may include preparation, grounding, and stabilization before trauma processing.
I offer EMDR to individuals seeking focused trauma treatment, including those who are already working with a primary therapist and would like additional EMDR support.

Sometimes, different parts of us carry painful experiences, protective responses, or emotional needs shaped by the past. Parts-oriented approaches offer a way to explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
Depending on your needs and therapeutic goals, our work may incorporate Ego State Therapy through the Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS) as developed by Shirley Jean Schmidt, and perspectives informed by Structural Dissociation Theory as developed by Onno van der Hart, Ellert Nijenhuis, and Kathy Steele.

With compassionate support, it may be possible to develop greater emotional safety, self-understanding, and connection with yourself, at a pace that respects your needs and readiness.
